This year really has flown by. It only seems like yesterday we were debuting our new Christmas song, Santa, You’re Still My Friend at A West End Christmas 2012 and now we’ve just had A West End Christmas 2013. We loved writing Reindeer Wives and Sophie Isaacs, Harriet Thorpe and Christopher Howell (currently starring in Stephen Ward) brought these reindeers to life so beautifully and hilariously. Check out the video from the night here. West End Bares was also so much sexy fun this year and we had the pleasure of writing Bare It At The Funfair performed by Michael Xavier and Frances Ruffelle as the closing song of the show. Check out the video here.

Welcome to our summer update. The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity for us and the results of this will be seen over the coming months. Firstly we wanted to extend our congratulations to Maud Millar who received a special commendation at The Stephen Sondheim Society Student Competition where she performed our song Love Will Find Its Way as part of the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award.
In June, Barry and I began preparations for our album which will be a songbook of our work up until this point and will be available for Christmas on Great White Wax Records. You will know most of the songs as they have already been performed in our showcases but there will also be a few new ones on there so we are very excited to see what you think of them. We have already recorded all of the US vocalists for the album and Barry will be arriving in London this evening as we begin the recording sessions with all of the UK vocalists over the coming week. Rehearsals have been going well and we can’t wait to get into the studio with everyone. We will be tweeting and uploading photos and videos from these sessions over the coming weeks.
We have also been commissioned by MADTrust (the Make A Difference Trust) to write the closing song again for this years West End Bares show on Sunday 1st September. Click here to purchase tickets. Our song entitled ‘Bare It At The Funfair’ will be performed by Frances Ruffelle and Michael Xavier. Michael is currently playing Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music at The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre to rave reviews and Frances has recently completed sell-out shows in London and New York for her ‘Behind The Dress’ show and will be debuting her brand new show ‘Paris Original’ this October in London at The Crazy Coqs.
Thank you as always for your continued support :) x
We are thrilled to announce that our song Love Will Find Its Way has made it through to the final stages of the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award and will be performed at The Garrick Theatre on the 19th May 2013 by Maud Millar. We would like to extend our congratulations to our fellow nominees Dan Looney, Pippa Cleary & Jake Brunger, Jen Toksvig & Alex Rudd, Darren Clark, Tamar Broadbent, Tim Sutton, Mark Anderson, Stuart Matthew Price, Chris Passey, Mark Redmond and Theo Jamieson. Tickets for the show can be purchased here :) x
I hope that you are all beginning to feel the festive spirit, we most certainly are. The last few months have been incredibly busy for us and as always there is a lot more to come. We finally debuted our two new songs last weekend both commissioned by the wonderful charity The Make A Difference Trust (MAD Trust). The first was entitled We Stand Together and was written for The Service of Dedication & Celebration for World Aids Day on 1st December and was performed by the wonderful Rachel Tucker with a choir of 20 students from the MTA (Musical Theatre Academy). You can see the video here. The second was written for A West End Christmas on 2nd December and was entitled Santa, You’re Still My Friend’ and was performed by Daniel Shwartz-Briskin, Ava Merson-O’Brien & Jaime Adler from The Sylvia Young School. You can see the video here. Both songs were performed at the truly beautiful St. Paul’s (The Actors’) Church in Covent Garden, London. On the 6th December our other Holiday song Christmas Eve is being performed by 14 of the 2nd Years from the Italia Conti Academy at their annual Christmas Show. The studio recording of Christmas Eve performed by Jonathan Rayson is also our new single and can be downloaded on iTunes and Amazon worldwide.
Once again we would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support for us on our musical journey. We love what we do and we love to share it with you.
Have a wonderful holiday season and glad tidings to all.
Love, Barry & Mark xxxx
We hope this finds you well. Well, the leaves are beginning to fall and summer is finally over. Which means that Christmas is right around the corner, which always makes us happy. As usual we are busy working on new projects and we can’t wait for you to see and hear what’s coming. We will have the footage of the fantastic performance of Stand Up from this years West End Bares show performed by Louise Dearman and Mark Evans very soon. You can check out the West End Bares 2012 Highlights Video here. There are also new songs in the pipeline including something festive for you too. Be sure to keep checking in on our website and also our YouTube channel and twitter page for all of the latest updates.
We have also added our new songs to the song store.

We are so excited to finally be able to reveal to you the two wonderful vocalists who will be performing our brand new song Stand Up which has been written especially for this years West End Bares. They are Mark Evans (currently playing Sam
Wheat in Ghost) and the West End’s soon-to-be-new Elphaba in Wicked, Miss Louise Dearman. We are honoured to have both of these shining lights adding their amazing vocals and performance to our song.
The show will be on Sunday 2nd September and tickets can be purchased via the link below….xxxx
A huge thank you from both of us to everyone involved in the show last night. To the performers, the musicians, the musical direction, the lighting, sound, the composers, the staff at The Union Theatre and all of the wonderful people that came along to see the show we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Where would we be without all of your truly amazing support. Thank you…..xxxx
