It’s December – Time For New Holiday Music!!!

Hi Friends!!!

We hope December’s treating you well. You in a holiday mood yet??

It’s been a REALLY busy month for us on both sides of the Atlantic, with a concert happening in London and recording sessions happening in Detroit. We’ve written two brand new songs for this holiday season – “The Moment You Believe” and “Stowin’ Away In Santa’s Sleigh.” Live performance clips, behind-the-scenes videos, downloads, and sheet music will all be coming your way later this month and just in time for the holidays!!

“He Never Lost The Fight” opens new play starring Tony Todd

Hello Friends!!

We hope 2015 is treating you well, and thanks for checking in with us! We’ve had some cool things going on around here as of late, and we thought it was about time to send out some updates.

We love collaborating.  And we love telling stories.

In April we were excited to collaborate with L.A.’s Working Stage Theatre, T-Dog llc, and Kutztown Unitversity  as they brought GHOST IN THE HOUSE, a brand new play, to Pennsylvania. Directed by Frank Megna and starring Tony Todd, the play chronicles the life and times of Jack Johnson, America’s first African-American heavyweight champion. Our story song “He Never Lost The Fight” opened the performance at Shaeffer Auditoruim on April 9th and featured Kutztown University music students. Big thanks to Kevin Kjos, head of the KU Jazz Department!

Summer Update – The Album and West End Bares!!!!!

Hi guys,

Welcome to our summer update. The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity for us and the results of this will be seen over the coming months. Firstly we wanted to extend our congratulations to Maud Millar who received a special commendation at The Stephen Sondheim Society Student Competition where she performed our song Love Will Find Its Way as part of the Stiles & Drewe Best New Song Award.

In June, Barry and I began preparations for our album which will be a songbook of our work up until this point and will be available for Christmas on Great White Wax Records. You will know most of the songs as they have already been performed in our showcases but there will also be a few new ones on there so we are very excited to see what you think of them. We have already recorded all of the US vocalists for the album and Barry will be arriving in London this evening as we begin the recording sessions with all of the UK vocalists over the coming week. Rehearsals have been going well and we can’t wait to get into the studio with everyone. We will be tweeting and uploading photos and videos from these sessions over the coming weeks.

We have also been commissioned by MADTrust (the Make A Difference Trust) to write the closing song again for this years West End Bares show on Sunday 1st September. Click here to purchase tickets. Our song entitled ‘Bare It At The Funfair’ will be performed by Frances Ruffelle and Michael Xavier. Michael is currently playing Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music at The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre to rave reviews and Frances has recently completed sell-out shows in London and New York for her ‘Behind The Dress’ show and will be debuting her brand new show ‘Paris Original’ this October in London at The Crazy Coqs.

Thank you as always for your continued support :) x
